Basketball Recap: Calvert Takes a Loss

Calvert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a 56-39 bruising from the Chopticon Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-35 back in December of 2024.

Calvert's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19-1. As for Chopticon, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Coming up, Calvert will take on Leonardtown at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chopticon, they will challenge Great Mills at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chopticon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Great Mills likes a good challenge.
