Volleyball Recap: Benton Takes a Loss

Benton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Savannah Savages. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Benton actually scored more points across those four sets (84-75), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 25-20, 0-22.

Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Savannah, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Benton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Sherwood on the 27th. As for Savannah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Crossroads Prep Academy on the 27th.
