Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Mohawks vs. Eastern Eagles

The Northwest Mohawks will take on the Eastern Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Northwest was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-52 to Notre Dame.

Meanwhile, Eastern had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 70-34 win over the Tartans. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Northwest came up short against Eastern in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 63-57. Can Northwest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
