Baseball Game Preview: Middleton Tigers vs. Chamberlain Storm

Middleton is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Chamberlain a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Middleton Tigers will be playing at home against the Chamberlain Storm at 7:00 p.m. Middleton has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Middleton fell victim to Plant City and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 15-0.

Middleton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Holland, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Chamberlain scored first but ultimately less than Durant in their match on Monday. They fell 6-3 to the Cougars.

Brihan Arteaga Diaz put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Arteaga Diaz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Xavier Ether made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He also launched a home run, marking his first of the season.

Chamberlain's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Middleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.
