Lake Catholic and Beaumont School are an even 4-4-1 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Streaks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Lake Catholic took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Western Reserve Academy with a sharp 13-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their two-run performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Beaumont School got the win against Crestwood on Thursday by a conclusive 10-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Streaks.

Kayla McDade spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maddie Wilson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Clary, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Beaumont School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crestwood only posted a batting average of .185.

Beaumont School's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lake Catholic, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.

Lake Catholic might still be hurting after the 25-5 loss they got from Beaumont School when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
