            Softball Recap: Philomath Warriors vs. Stayton Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            After soaring to ten  runs the game before, Philomath was a bit more limited  in their  match  on Thursday. They lost  14-1 to the Stayton Eagles. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.
 Philomath saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Rylee Martin, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  RBI.
Philomath now  has a losing record of 9-10. As for Stayton, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philomath will welcome Cascade  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9  runs per game  this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Stayton, they will challenge North Marion at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
