Recap: Donegal Indians vs. Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers
It was a good run, but the Donegal Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lampeter-Strasburg. Donegal lost against Lampeter-Strasburg in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 69-52 score last time.
It was another big night for Dean Herr, who scored 15 points along with nine steals for Lampeter-Strasburg. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Justin Glick, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Donegal's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Donegal will be home for the holidays to greet Ephrata at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ephrata will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Donegal is ranked 176th). Lampeter-Strasburg will be home for the holidays to greet Muhlenberg at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
