Rose Harrelson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Harrelson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with five runs, five RBI, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mary Snyder, who scored five runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Esther Harrelson was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anderson only posted an OBP of .188.

Meanwhile, Llano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Ballinger.

Jayme Duroy and Emilie Clopton stepped up to the plate in a big way. Duroy went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple, while Clopton scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That triple marked the first that Duroy hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Williamson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Llano's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin, their record is now 2-0.
