Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets vs. St. Charles Cardinals

The Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets will face off against the St. Charles Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Mt. Vernon came up short against St. Xavier and fell 3-1. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Bombers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 16-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, St. Charles made easy work of St. Francis DeSales on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-21.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 8-4. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Mt. Vernon skirted past St. Charles 3-2 when the teams last played on Friday. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
