Baseball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Watchung Hills Regional

While Watchung Hills Regional's win against Immaculata wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors came out on top against the Spartans on Saturday by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

AIDEN DuHAIME looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Watchung Hills Regional saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ROB CENTAMORE, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Watchung Hills Regional's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Immaculata, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watchung Hills Regional will host Morris Knolls at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Immaculata, they will be playing at home against DePaul Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
