Baseball Recap: Anson Comes Up Short

Anson came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to the Piedmont Panthers. The Bearcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Anson dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Piedmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Anson will take on rival Forest Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Piedmont is set to square off against their familiar foe West Stanly at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
