Basketball Recap: Landon Vega and Jaidon Anderson Secure Win for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo won the last time they faced San Isidro and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears managed a 55-51 win over the San Isidro Tigers.

Leading Pharr-San Juan-Alamo to victory were Jaidon Anderson and Landon Vega. Anderson went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds, while Vega posted 13 points and five assists. What's more, Anderson also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Max Roque was another key player, putting up eight points.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for San Isidro, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-49 win against Valley View on the 31st. As for San Isidro, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-22 victory against Benavides on the 30th.
