Baseball Recap: Erie Comes Up Short

Erie fell victim to Cherryvale and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 on Monday.

Erie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Montee, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Kyler Yackle also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Erie's loss dropped their record down to 7-16-1. As for Cherryvale, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Erie nor Cherryvale have any future games scheduled.
