Basketball Game Preview: Lakeview Wildcats vs. Vestaburg Wolverines

The Lakeview Wildcats will take on the Vestaburg Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Lakeview came up short against Morley Stanwood and fell 48-39. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vestaburg). They blew past St. Charles 64-40 on Friday. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Vestaburg's third in a row) raised their record to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Lakeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Lakeview didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Vestaburg when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 42-37 win. Does Lakeview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vestaburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
