Football Recap: Modesto Christian Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Modesto Christian kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Denair Coyotes and fell 66-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Cristian Gonzales threw for 118 yards on 13 of 38 attempts. Joseph Reveira was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards. On the ground, Tamaseaula Mahafutau rushed for 62 yards on only eight carries.

Modesto Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 50-14 defeat against Stone Ridge Christian on the 29th. As for Denair, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 47-17 loss against Summerville on the 29th.
