Basketball Game Preview: West Branch Bears vs. Tipton Tigers

The West Branch Bears will challenge the Tipton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for West Branch: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Tipton has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Back in December of 2024, West Branch was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to West Liberty.

Meanwhile, Tipton hadn't done well against Washington recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Tipton managed a 39-34 victory over Washington.

West Branch's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Tipton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

West Branch ended up a good deal behind Tipton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 48-34. Can West Branch avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
