Basketball Recap: Taylor Prep Comes Up Short

Taylor Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Grosse Ile Red Devils an easy 62-42 win. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 59-49 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Taylor Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Grosse Ile, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor Prep will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Universal Learning Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Taylor Prep is facing Universal Learning Academy at the right time seeing as Universal Learning Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Grosse Ile also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Ida at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Grosse Ile has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three games.
