            Two dominant  backs in  Dk Woods and  Tyshaun Jeter are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. After each having a week off, the Crockett County Cavaliers and the South Gibson Hornets will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Last Friday, Crockett County didn't have too much trouble with Dyersburg  as they won  42-28.

 Ben Burgess had a dynamite game, rushing for 57 yards and one  touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 172 yards and one  TD. That's the most  passing yards  he has posted since back in September of 2024.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Crockett County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 277  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 224  rushing yards in three consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile, South Gibson beat Lexington 27-20  last Friday.
 One reason for the win was South Gibson's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department,  Yahya Gaad was the leader with two. He also set a new season-high mark in  total tackles with eight.
 Crockett County's record now sits at 6-1. As for South Gibson, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
Friday's   matchup might be decided on the ground. Crockett County has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 212.3  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Gibson struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 261.3  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 Crockett County took a serious blow against South Gibson  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2022, falling  42-14. Can the Cavaliers avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
