Springstead and Nature Coast Tech are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but likely not for long. The Eagles will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Springstead's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Fivay. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Madison Mayon and Alivia Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Mayon tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Miller struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). At the plate, Mayon went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Miller went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rachel Rivera, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Lili Klink, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI.

Springstead always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.

Nature Coast Tech came out on top against Wesley Chapel on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Sharks blew past the Wildcats 10-3.

Springstead's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Nature Coast Tech, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.

Springstead skirted past Nature Coast Tech 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Sharks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
