Soccer Game Preview: Foreman vs. IC Catholic Prep

The Foreman Hornets will face off against the IC Catholic Prep Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Things were looking good for Foreman after they put the first goal on the board back in April, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Steinmetz College Prep who was credited with the victory. The Silver Streaks got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Foreman's four.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for IC Catholic Prep's offense. They came up short against DePaul College Prep on Tuesday, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, IC Catholic Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 228th, while DePaul College Prep are ranked 94th).

Foreman has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4-1 record this season. As for IC Catholic Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13-1.
