For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Anderson and West Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Cubs came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Cubs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Anderson ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-18.

Anderson's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-18. As for West Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Anderson has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against University Prep on the 6th. As for West Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lassen on the 7th.
