Volleyball Recap: Beardstown Comes Up Short

Beardstown lost against Lewistown back in September of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Beardstown was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Beardstown lost, don't look at Kylynn Maltby. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs.

Beardstown's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Lewistown, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.

Beardstown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Midwest Central on the 11th. As for Lewistown, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Rushville-Industry on the 11th.
