Softball Recap: Ridge Community Comes Up Short

Ridge Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 16-1 to the Davenport Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 back in March.

Ridge Community saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Leone, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Jayla Jackson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Ridge Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Davenport, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridge Community will face off against Haines City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Davenport, they will square off against Lakeland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
