Baseball Game Preview: Fairfield Central Griffins vs. Richard Winn Academy Eagles

For the second straight game, Fairfield Central will face off against Richard Winn Academy. The Griffins will square off against the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fairfield Central came up short against Richard Winn Academy on Monday, falling 11-1. The Griffins haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

For Richard Winn Academy's part, Charlie Bonds spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Johnathan Bonds was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Dylan Albert also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Richard Winn Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Fairfield Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Richard Winn Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
