North Panola is 9-1 against Rosa Fort since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the North Panola Cougars take on the Rosa Fort Lions at 6:00 p.m. North Panola will be strutting in after a win while Rosa Fort will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, North Panola beat Holly Springs 49-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Rosa Fort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 62-46 to Grenada.

North Panola is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points per game. As for Rosa Fort, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Everything came up roses for North Panola against Rosa Fort in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 71-37 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Panola since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
