Baseball Recap: South County Comes Up Short

South County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edison Eagles. The Stallions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

South County's record is now 4-10. As for Edison, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South County will head out to challenge Rock Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Phoenix will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Edison, they will challenge Hayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
