Baseball Recap: Jordan Beats East for Their Third Straight Victory

Jordan extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 14-8 in the process. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the East Leopards. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 21-2 victory on Wednesday.

Jordan let NOAH GATTI and JACKSON ROSVALL run wild. GATTI went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while ROSVALL went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of GAGE NALDER, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Jordan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East struck out nine times.

As for East, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-16. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Jordan, they, and Alta.

On East's side, Kollin Stevens made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The Leopards are 2-1 when Stevens posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-15 otherwise.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Jordan will square off against rival Alta at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Beetdiggers 3.8, the Hawks 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, East is set to challenge their familiar foe Olympus at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
