Basketball Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

South Point lost to Fairland back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pointers lost 58-37 to the Dragons. The Pointers were down 50-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

South Point dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Fairland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. South Point will square off against Green at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fairland, they will take on Portsmouth at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.11 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
