Volleyball Game Preview: Heyworth Hornets vs. Tri-Valley Vikings

Heyworth is 0-10 against Tri-Valley since October of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hornets on Tuesday. Heyworth took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eureka.

While Heyworth was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

Tri-Valley hadn't beaten Tremont on the road since September 17, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Turks 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Tri-Valley got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-16.

Tri-Valley pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Heyworth, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.
