Volleyball Recap: Rosemead Comes Up Short

After flying high against South El Monte on Friday, Rosemead came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the San Gabriel Matadors on Monday. The Panthers have struggled against the Matadors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-14.

Kimberly Ortega paced Rosemead's offense, picking up three kills. Ortega got some help from Giselle Han and her four assists.

Rosemead's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for San Gabriel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Rosemead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Mountain View on the 8th. As for San Gabriel, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Mark Keppel on the 7th.
