Basketball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted last Friday, Central came back down to earth. The Central Raiders came up short against the New London-Spicer Wildcats on Saturday, falling 61-36. The game marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season. As for New London-Spicer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 25-1.

Central has already played their next contest, a 59-43 victory against Litchfield on the 18th. As for New London-Spicer, they will welcome Kasson-Mantorville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New London-Spicer is on a 16-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Kasson-Mantorville a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
