Basketball Recap: Okay's Run of Six Straight Victories Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Okay can now relate to. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cheyenne/Reydon Bears. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Cheyenne/Reydon found their leader in sophomore Kimbo Denney, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Denney is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 55% in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Braylee Wright, who posted 11 points.

Okay's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Cheyenne/Reydon, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Okay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cheyenne/Reydon, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-41 victory against Waukomis on the 28th.
