Del Sol faced Mojave in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Dragons blew past the Rattlers 3-0. The win was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on five straight.

While Del Sol won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Del Sol can attribute much of their success to Xander Besser, who had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Besser a new career-high.

Del Sol pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mojave, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Sol will venture away from home to challenge Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mojave, they will head out to take on Durango at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
