Volleyball Recap: Huntington North Victorious

It was close, but on Monday the Huntington North Vikings sidestepped the Norwell Knights for a 3-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Huntington North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-13, 15-13.

Carter Smith had a dynamite game, getting 28 digs and one assist. That's the most digs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Huntington North's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Norwell, they moved to 4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntington North will head out to face off against Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Norwell, they will head out on the road to square off against New Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
