Basketball Game Preview: Hazen Wildcats vs. Lake Region Rangers

Hazen is 9-1 against Lake Region since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hazen Wildcats will head out to face off against the Lake Region Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hazen is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: North Country Union, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Hazen was ranked 15th). Hazen pulled ahead with a 42-41 photo finish over North Country Union on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Lake Region earned a 57-50 victory over U-32 on Wednesday.

Lake Region's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Hazen, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Hazen barely slipped by Lake Region when the teams last played back in January, winning 52-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hazen since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
