Recap: Coronado Cougars vs. Silverado Skyhawks
The Coronado Cougars won against the Silverado Skyhawks last Saturday with 74 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Coronado managed a 74-70 victory over Silverado. The victory was nothing new for Coronado as they're now sitting on five straight.
Coronado's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Cunningham, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jonny Collins, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Coronado is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Silverado, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.
Coronado will be playing in front of their home fans against Desert Pines at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Pines will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Coronado is ranked fourth). As for Silverado, they will head out on the road to challenge Arbor View at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
