Softball Recap: Cisne Runnin' Lions vs. Webber Trojans
Cisne had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Webber Trojans by a score of 17-16. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 14 in a row.
Ella Krupp and Kenzie Alvis did some serious damage despite the final result: Krupp scored three runs while going 4-for-5, while Alvis scored two runs while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Sullens, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Cisne kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. They got ten more hits than Webber's also-impressive total of 14.
The win got Webber back to even at 1-1.
Cisne has already played their next match (against Odin/Patoka/Sandoval), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Webber, they will welcome Farina South Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
