Basketball Recap: Rantoul Extends Winning Streak to Three

Rantoul had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-50 win over the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Rantoul's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Maroa-Forsyth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rantoul and Springfield will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maroa-Forsyth will take on Warrensburg-Latham in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
