Softball Game Preview: Greater Cabarrus S Stallions vs. Union Preparatory Polar Bears

The Greater Cabarrus S Stallions will challenge the Union Preparatory Polar Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greater Cabarrus S has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Greater Cabarrus S came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-3 to SouthLake Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Stallions have suffered since March 26th.

Eden Kluttz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

17 must be Union Preparatory's lucky number: they beat Queen's Grant with that score not once but twice on April 9th. The Polar Bears put the hurt on the Stallions with a sharp 17-2 win.

Greater Cabarrus S' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11. As for Union Preparatory, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Greater Cabarrus S skirted past Union Preparatory 7-5 when the teams last played on April 1st. Do the Stallions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Polar Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
