Reef Sharman turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Saturday. He struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Peninsula back in February of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Sharman is becoming a predictor of West's success: when he posts at least ten strikeouts the team is 2-1 (and 4-8 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Sharman and West will face off against Costa Mesa at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
