Basketball Recap: Green Hope Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Chloe Lee and Abigail Brown

Green Hope lost against Green Level back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Green Hope Falcons took a 68-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Level Gators. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Abigail Brown and Chloe Lee certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Brown dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards, while Lee posted 14 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Lee a new career-high in assists. Shawn Sisk was another key player, putting up ten points.

Claire Barber continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Green Level, almost dropping a double-double on 37 points and nine boards. The matchup was Barber's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Eckhart, who had eight points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Green Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Green Level, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Hope will challenge Apex Friendship at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Apex Friendship has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three contests. As for Green Level, they will venture away from home to challenge Cary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Green Level is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.
