Football Recap: Legacy Starts Season with Victory Against Monarch

Legacy took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They never let the Monarch Coyotes get on the board and left with a 6-0 win.

Gianna Schmidt threw for 102 yards and one touchdown. Rachel Jones was her top target, picking up 59 receiving yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy will welcome Thornton at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Monarch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arvada West at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
