Basketball Recap: Blue Springs South Takes a Loss

Blue Springs South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They fell 53-43 to the Grain Valley Eagles. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Addy Seyfert was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards for Grain Valley. Those 12 rebounds gave Seyfert a new career-high. Camryn Kelly was another key player, putting up seven points and five assists.

Blue Springs South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Grain Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

Blue Springs South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-37 win against Fort Osage on the 27th. As for Grain Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-34 victory against Barstow on the 27th.
