 St. John is 2-8 against St. John's Prep since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. The St. John's Pioneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. John's Prep Eagles at 4:00  p.m. St. John's will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive.
 St. John's will head into Monday's  game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they only won by two when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run they dealt Catholic Memorial on Monday. St. John's was the clear victor by  a  9-1 margin over Catholic Memorial.
 St. John's got a great performance from  Brady Shea as he  struck out ten batters over  5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Shea has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time he's  pitched this season.

 Meanwhile, the third road  matchup was the charm for St. John's Prep, as they earned their first road win of the season. They had just enough and edged Malden Catholic out  4-3.
 St. John's has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record  this season. As for St. John's Prep,  the  victory  got them back to even at 4-4-1.
