Volleyball Recap: Birdville Extends Winning Streak to Four

Birdville entered their tilt with Mansfield Summit on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Jaguars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Birdville was led to victory by Maddie Duckworth and Makena Wharton. Duckworth had five digs and four aces, while Wharton had seven digs and two aces. Those four aces gave Duckworth a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Birdville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Birdville's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Mansfield Summit, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Birdville has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Canyon on the 22nd. As for Mansfield Summit, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Midland Legacy on the 22nd.
