After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Munster, Highland was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Hammond Central Wolves with a sharp 3-0 win. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Highland walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 25-21.
Hannah Ladewski paced Highland's offense, picking up ten kills. Ladewski got some help from Alivia Ekanem and her 16 assists.
Highland's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Hammond Central, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-8.
Coming up, Highland will challenge Andrean at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hammond Central, they will square off against Gary West Side at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
