Volleyball Game Preview: Camelback Spartans vs. Cesar Chavez Champions

Camelback is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against the Cesar Chavez Champions at 6:00 p.m. Camelback is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Camelback came up short against Apollo and fell 3-1.

Camelback actually scored more points across those four sets (97-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 18-25, 26-24, 25-23.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cesar Chavez, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Maryvale with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

Cesar Chavez's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Camelback, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Camelback might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Cesar Chavez in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
