After only seven points in their last contest, Beaver made sure to put some points up on the board against Blackhawk on Friday. The Bobcats strolled past the Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 38-21. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Cougars are ranked 226th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Blackhawk still got an impressive performance from Brayden McCarthy, who rushed for 226 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per carry. McCarthy's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

The win got Beaver back to even at 1-1. As for Blackhawk, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Beaver will host Imani Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blackhawk, they will head out to challenge North Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
