Softball Preview: Bunker Hill Bears vs. Bandys Trojans

The Bunker Hill Bears will head out on the road to take on the Bandys Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bunker Hill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they went ahead and made it three last Thursday. They blew past the Wolves 10-1. With that win, Bunker Hill brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Serena Thurman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
