Basketball Game Preview: Bishop McDevitt Crusaders vs. Boiling Springs Bubblers

The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders will head out to take on the Boiling Springs Bubblers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bishop McDevitt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

Last Tuesday, Bishop McDevitt came up short against Trinity and fell 76-67. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Shamrocks recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boiling Springs). They put the hurt on Camp Hill with a sharp 65-42 win on Tuesday. The Bubblers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 23 points or more this season.

Bishop McDevitt better keep an eye on Ethan Yenser. He was instrumental in Boiling Springs' win, putting up 29 points. Those 29 points gave Yenser a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason LaBuda, who posted 11 points.

Boiling Springs pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Bishop McDevitt, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Bishop McDevitt came up short against Boiling Springs in their previous meeting back in January, falling 53-45. Can Bishop McDevitt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
